WHO WE ARE

Action for the Needy (CEPROCUL) is a legalized apolitical national CSO with the global goal to strengthening the resilience and adaptive capacities of at-risk communities in Cameroon living in challenging precarious conditions which impede their access to essential services. CEPROCUL has the vision of a world in which “Solidarity, Respect, and Development” are enabling core values that transform the lives of suffering masses in whatever circumstance they find themselves and a mission to strive for the betterment of all vulnerable persons scotched by a poverty-stricken narrative. It has an extensive experience in humanitarian response (shelter, WASH), Human Rights, Environment, community health, entrepreneurial capacity development, small bridges construction as well as local building materials promotion through initiatives implemented in partnership with government institutions, diplomatic missions, corporate bodies, international stakeholders, private enterprises, and local communities who have thus far guaranteed the quality and visibility of its deliverables.

CEPROCUL’s organigram has a Board of Directors, a General Assembly, an Executive Board, a Technical Board, and a Founding Members’ Committee each of which plays respective key roles in the organisation’s management and operations. It boasts of a diverse proficient leadership which safeguards the attainment of its mission in collaboration with relevant government and private sector stakeholders. Its Finance Department team is reliable, transparent, trustworthy relying on programme budgeting and other mechanisms to guarantee sound financial management: 3 different officials are signatories to its bank account; the Treasurer and Financial Secretary work in symbiosis and keep controllable financial records of income, expenditure, and other procurements.

Since its endorsement in 2009, CEPROCUL’s programmes target vulnerable groups including orphans, widows, girls/women, adolescents, the elderly, refugees/IDPs, people living with impairments, low income earners, children, the sick, men, as well as needy communities.  Its success story from inception has been accounted for chiefly by the devotion of its personnel, its innovative, inclusive, transparent, agile, participatory, and transformative way of work, and the support from its partners. As at now, its outreach across needy communities in the areas of local water supply & preservation, school sanitation & hygiene, housing and human rights, vocational training and capacity development, community health, etc. verily contribute to social transformation. The lessons learnt and experiences acquired from these actions have been tremendous and are inspirational for its future engagements.
